About this Safeguarding course
At Calne based Wiltshire First Aid Training we believe this is an extremely important course and that it should be delivered in a classroom where learning is gained from each other through discussion and experience. Trainers for this course have a police background and possess investigative skills and abilities as well as experience working with social services and child victims of abuse.​
This course is designed for a person who has contact with children, young people or vulnerable adults in their working environment including voluntary work.
The qualification promotes awareness and sensitivity to safeguarding enabling learners to be able to identify issues and emphasises the responsibility to ensure that concerns are reported and acted on appropriately.

Duration and certification
One day (7 hours contact time in the classroom)
Certification and assessment
Upon successful completion of the qualification assessment learners will receive a nationally recognised accredited Level 3 Award in Principals of Safeguarding and Protecting Children, Young People or Vulnerable Adults (RQF) qualification.

The qualification is assessed through a written assessment.
Maximum course numbers
No more than 12-delegates.

Learners must be a minimum of 18 years of age upon course commencement.
