It is aimed at anyone working in an environment where food is stored, prepared, produced, transported or served.

  • Reduction of contamination risks including microbial, chemical, physical and allergic hazards
  • How to deal with food spoilage including recognition, reporting & disposal
  • Safe food handling practices & procedures
  • Importance of temperature controls
  • Stock control procedures

Certification & assessment

This is an E learn package and after successful completion the candidate is awarded an Ofqual regulated Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering which is valid for three years. 

The candidate will sit a multiple choice question test at the end of the course.
